ROTARY BARNYARD FUND RAISER FOR SAN MICHELE
The Rotary clubs of Germiston, Bedfordview, and JHB South 101 are raising funds to support the San Michele Home for the Intellectually & Physically Disabled. We are selling tickets to a Barnyard theatre production on September 15, 2024.
The funds raised will go towards a water purification project that will ensure the home is completely self sufficient for its water requirements. This project will have a number of benefits for the facility.

Greatly reduced municipal and sewer bills, thus ensuring funds can be redirected to other worthy initiatives at the home.

Continued water supply in the event of municipal water outages.

A sustainable solution that benefits the home for years to come.
The San Michele property currently has a borehole. Unfortunately, the water tested from the underground source has been determined to be unfit for human consumption and other usage, such as bathing. Rotary aims to install a purification plant on the site that will ensure the water is cleaned to a level that is safe for residents to drink and use.
